Accurate how?
At the time Medvedev was President of Russia, and Putin was Prime Minister. Since he was President before that, it's ok for him to be referred as President, like any former President of country.
- paublyrne 10y agoThe convention of referring to an ex president as President is peculiar to United States presidents, AFAIK.
- loxs 10y agoIt can also mean that he met with (then) President Medvedev and (now, as of writing) President Putin
- krzyk 10y agoNo, we have the same in Poland, former presidents are still referenced as president (e.g. president Walesa or as mr president).
- guillaume8375 10y agoIt’s also done in France.
