Ask HN: How to turn this tiny Windows native app into a web app?

As a weekend project I made this little desktop toy that shows a live count of twitter followers for both Donald Trump and Barack Obama in the Windows system tray. Now I would like to turn it into a web app. I guess it would be a really trivial project, but I currently have zero experience in web development. Would love to see some recommendations for quick, fun and lightweight frameworks/approaches!
