I've donated plasma when I was really broke...only a couple of months ago. I would do it again except the phlebotomist perforated the vein in my left arm 6 or 7 times, digging around for what felt like an eternity. I'm a glutton for punishment but that definitely wasn't worth 40 bucks. I needed money for car parts though. The really interesting thing about the plasma center is all the oddball characters you get to see. It's worth a visit just to experience the weird vibe.
