Yeah I feel your pain I'm in the same problem, in an early stage startup making 80% under market rate, barely making my rent and living off ramen, absolutely can't afford ACA.

- dragonwriter 10y agoEven at 80% under market rate living on ramen (presumably, in the Bay Area as a developer), you may be over the income cap for Medicaid. Of course, choosing to accept work for 80% under market rate in a place where the high market rate for labor drives high cost of living is going to have short-term negative economic consequences.
