I think this is something that a lot of small-government conservatives don't want--it's moving responsibilities from the state governments to the federal government.
- spoiledtechie 10y agoThere is no responsibility of healthcare by the states or federal if you remove this. Just medicare and medicaid.
- matthewmcg 10y agoIncorrect--both insurers and providers are regulated primarily at the state level. Allowing insurers to sell across state lines would be a federal action overriding state sovereignty which is typically not thought of as a "conservative" position.
