- Ralith 10y agoOne of Rust's selling points is literally that it has very easy zero-overhead C interop.
- wyldfire 10y agoLike in Python, you're free to call your libc's exported symbols directly. IMO it's a good thing rust doesn't support open()/read()/write()/close() directly and doesn't document it alongside the higher level abstractions.
