Not sure what each customer was charged, but it sounds like the app/system was resold to individual customers at a pretty hefty price.
- drc500free 10y agoThe article says $70k of development costs were funded and that the app itself is free. That doesn't seem like enough funding for a secure app with proper testing, and a free app is a terrible idea if they want software that is maintained and supported.
- mrgoldenbrown 10y agoWhat was included in the 70k? Typically the govt agency I work for bundles things like support for 5 years, professional services, data migration, maybe even hosting into the "purchase" price because capital is easier to get than operating budget.
