Perhaps a little unusual for a programmer, but I hate techy clothing/accessories. I use a http://www.filson.com/rucksack.html http://www.filson.com/rucksack.html. $350 now, but I paid ~$200 when I bought it--8 years ago. Even after all this time, it's still beautiful and rugged. I'll probably get another 8 years out of it.
