What about the other 2/3s?
Those 'with degrees' seem to be doing ok, overall.
This without - not so good.
Germany has a 'vocational' system that enables/empowers those who don't want to go off and study Math or History, and it seems to work well, though it's very deeply entrenched into industry, into culture - and maybe somewhat unfair as it is kind of 'class perpetuating' ... by the time kids are 14 they are already being slotted into one stream or another (richer parents = more likely to go upstream).
I'll never speak out against 'more college' but America actually does put more than anyone else through college, and spends more $ and more $/capita than any other nation.
It'd be great to figure out a way to put the other 2/3's into the economy in a meaningful way. Nobody seems to want to speak for them ...
