I had a quick look and couldn't find anything that suggested you need to earn a minimum amount. The only requirement (regarding employment) that I saw was that the resident much meet the EU Treaty requirements but any employment restrictions are for non-UK citizens. Do you possibly have a source as I'd be very interested indeed?
