As far as I know they haven't resolved it yet.
- blobert 10y agoCan confirm, Precision M5510 (facsimile of XPS15). I usually have headphones on and even without them the whine is tolerable and becomes part of the background noise, however your annoyance tolerance level will vary.
- akulbe 10y agoDoes the coil whine only happen with Linux? or does it happen in Windows too? Was thinking about the latest XPS w/Kaby Lake CPU... but this would give me pause.
- dkuntz2 10y agoIt sounds like it's an issue for Windows too
