- maxerickson 10y agoThe 101% of cost reimbursement is a different payment model than used for bigger hospitals (Prospective Payment Systems https://www.cms.gov/medicare/medicare-fee-for-service-payment/prospmedicarefeesvcpmtgen/index.html https://www.cms.gov/medicare/medicare-fee-for-service-paymen... ). And no one else pays anywhere near 100% of 'reasonable costs' (they pay more, or in the case of Medicaid, less). So I wouldn't call it the normal rate.
