Show HN: Find your perfect (AU/NZ) job
- peterwallhead 10y agoThis is the first release (MVP) of a project I've been thinking about/redesigning/building for a while. Happy to answer any questions.
- DrScump 10y agoOne has to enter all employment/skills info first without seeing a single job or employer.
- peterwallhead 10y agoCorrect. Because it can't match jobs to an empty profile. At a minimum you need to add at least 1 skill to generate any matches.
- viraptor 10y agoSome ideas: * Create general categories I can click to see what's behind the curtain. For example "see web development jobs", etc. * Show a random selection on the front page. * Let me just browse anything before signing up. The page just looks really sketchy otherwise. Sign up with my real name from the start - but why? How do I tell this site apart from random name/email/password collection scam?
- peterwallhead 10y ago@viraptor: All fair points, thank you. This is only the first release, so there's lots to work on still.
- viraptor 10y agoYeah, this is bad. It looks like info collection site which doesn't actually have much to offer after signup. I'm not saying it is, but I'm not going to check it.
- peterwallhead 10y agoI'm only the developer of the site, so that doesn't count for much, but it's not an info collection site :) Internal screenshot here: https://cl.ly/3X1J3t0f1f1Q https://cl.ly/3X1J3t0f1f1Q
- peterwallhead 10y agoIt's a job matching site, not a job search site (at this stage).
