Maybe I'm terrible at communicating honestly in a nice way - but I've found that people in my life hate when I'm honest. Enough that my slogan for myself is "honest to a fault". I refuse to lie to people, even over small things. I've found that the world runs better on white lies and omission of details and that opening up with your own problems just makes people avoid you - rather than help you solve them.
