From my personal experience, not really. The Chrome dev channel is really nothing more than a more recent build that is considered stable enough to release into the wild to those that have opted into it. Things might break but in reality they rarely do. I won't go as far as to say I've never encountered bugs that I've noticed in the dev channel release but anything that serious is usually fixed within a matter of hours and it's happened to me like maybe twice in all the years that I've been using it.
