I have an older, refurbished elitebook that I picked up for about $140. It's fantastic. It has a removeable battery and the tool-less backplate. Every component inside can be serviced easily with plain old mini screwdrivers. The best feature is the hinges. I've had several other laptops over the years that I had to abandon because the hinges seized up and the attachment to the screen was so weak that eventually I opened the laptop and busted the screen. I don't see that ever happening with this elitebook.
