Are there any resources for those of us persistently looking for jobs? I graduated from CMU with a CS degree in 2004 but never found an entry level job. Everyone tells me it should be easy to find one and then gets upset when I ask where. I am a C/C++ programmer just trying to survive.
- dhatch6 10y agoIf you're saying that simply nobody is hiring, you're not looking. Go apply to any big company. I randomly got contacted by Google the other day and I'm only 1.5 years out of school. I know a lot of people that have been contacted by Apple, ms, and Amazon as well.
- spicytunacone 10y agoHow did Google find your contact details in the first place? Were you employed prior to them contacting you? If so, your situation is pretty different from the parent's.
- stevebmark 10y agoAngelList is a popular job hunting site in the Bay Area. Entry level jobs may be hard to come by though.
- NonEUCitizen 10y agograduated 2004 or 2014? [if former, why entry level?] have you tapped into CMU's alumni network? asked your professors about companies they know about?
