    Doubtful. My guess is within 1-2 generations max the iPhone will have USB C to follow the Macbook line.

  Ah, true. That was mentioned as well. It's amazing that people would pick an extra millimeter trimmed off or waterproofing over a headphone jack (I assume they did surveys..?).
