- rhino369 10y agoI'd also add that the move away from carrier subsidies may be slowing the upgrade cycle. We had an artificial 2 year upgrade cycle just because that was when your carrier would give you a subsidy. But now I'm sitting here with a 2.5 year phone that I don't feel like replacing for 700 bucks out of pocket.
