I got book about clojure and was really trying to get into it. Some of the concepts really resonated with me but i can't get over the lisp syntax.
- junke 10y agoWhat is so annoying with the syntax? I honestly don't get it.
- kimi 10y agoI also hated the syntax when I got started. I found it very hard to read Clojure code. After a while you use it, you will not "see" it anymore (and instead you will appreciate its clarity). Don't give up!
- Slackwise 10y agoIt also helps to turn parens grey via syntax highlighting so they are still visible, but don't clutter all the wonderfully wordy symbols. I've also started turning all the special character noise down in all languages now. I'm usually trying to read the words, not all the cruft.
