Why so? Genuinely curious.
- geezerjay 10y agoC++'s standardization committee is known for being enthusiastically pro-Microsoft. IIRC, C++'s thread support is essentially the option that Microsoft forced upon the standard, in detriment of ISO's very own pthreads library which was already an ISO standard. IIRC, the same problem also plagues C's committee.
- Scea91 10y agoC++'s thread support is basically boost.thread with some differences. Can you explain in which way is it Microsoft over pthreads?
