while I don't dismiss your concern, I just wanted to point out that this is not some sort of wholly-unprecedented government authority.
- pjc50 10y agoLibel is civil liability not criminal, and is extremely expensive to litigate. It's both sometimes over-reaching and completely inadequate for dealing with the current scale of untruth.
- dragonwriter 10y agoIn many jurisdictions (including many US jurisdictions) there are both civil and criminal libel laws.
