WebSockets are just too slow https://www.w3.org/TR/tcp-udp-sockets/ https://www.w3.org/TR/tcp-udp-sockets/ Not sure status of this standard, or plans for adoption. As long as proper steps are taken to allow for secure implementations I'm all for it.
