I don't believe the car is clairvoyant, but my guess is radar bouncing off the asphalt under the cars.
And maybe a glimpse of the brakelights?
- _ph_ 10y agoYes, Tesla is using signal processing to detect radar reflections of the car in front of the car in front of you. They showed this when they introduced the firmware with this feature.
