The Trump election was way too close for a definitive cause to be definable. Anything can be assigned the position of straw that broke the camel's back. Anyhow, young voter turnout was much lower than for Obama, and that too can get the badge for cause, inasmuch as strong youngster presence at the voting booth would have prevented a Trump presidency.
