Is the "Emacs virgin" thing really only used in reference to women? Referring to people who have never done something (scuba, driving a Miata, eating sushi, etc) are often referred to as "virgins" to that thing. Much like the sense of "virgin" (as in "extra virgin") olive oil. The rest of this seems pretty reasonable but that particular complaint seems to be possibly an overreaction, depending on the context of how RMS used the phrase. I don't like RMS either for the record and have thought he is self righteous and annoying for 20 years.
