Wow. That's a really negative article. Focus is completely on the cost of a proof of concept project. What is the promised ultimate cost? (Not that promises come true or anything...)
- the_mitsuhiko 10y agoIt's hard to be positive about solar roads. They are a ridiculous concept.
- stuaxo 10y agoYup, it doesn't make sense to me when there are so many rooftops. Putting solar panels between tracks on railways makes way more sense.
- calchris42 10y agoProbably true. The extra requirements on durability probably make it rediculous. But I still prefer my reporting to at least attempt to give pros and cons and reasoned arguments. It's too easy to quote a number on infrastructure projects without context and have it sound huge.
