I find that more and more, the domain name you have doesn't mean jack. Sure, it's nice to have a domain name that is relevant to your product, but everyone is going to be getting to you from Google anyway. If you have to choose between spending $10k on getting the "perfect" domain name, and doing SEO on another, "lesser" domain name, go the latter route and reap the rewards.
