I didn't get that sense from the article - but it wouldn't work for everyone, anyway. My consulting work was mostly designing intranets for megacorps (including Bear Stearns), or Twitter/social media visualiAtion/sensemaking art pieces for their marketing depts. I could turn the latter into a product, but that'd be defeating the point. Now my work is focused on making small biz software that does a fabulous job and makes people happy.
