And a lot of 18-25 year olds would be prohibited from living independently. This would be terrible, for example, for people in abusive households. And it would merely suck horribly for anyone who simply chafes at not being treated like a person.
- austincheney 10y agoI don't see how that would make any difference. Typically many 18 year old require a co-signer or sponsor to get an apartment on their own. If you are in an abusive household call the authorities (you can do this at any age).
- r_smart 10y agoYeah, this. As someone who moved out at 18, please don't force people to have to stay in bad living arrangements any longer than they need to.
