I hate to admit it, but I quick-clicked the upvote on your parent basically -as- I started reading your comment and thinking. Normally I'm firmly in the "misdiagnosing stupid" camp. It's sad and frustrating to realize that we, too, are human! and so must constantly self-check on these sorts of things. While the word "community" gets over-used, I think that's part of what community can do. Or perhaps: civilization. Thanks for the gut-check.
