That's great to hear. Have you read Jobs' biography and do you think everything said about Pixtar around those times are accurately portrait?

- rootbear 10y agoSadly, I haven't gotten to it yet. That's embarrassing to admit, but my time for pleasure reading has gotten frustratingly short.
- wineisfine 10y agoIt actually reads like a solid fiction book, except that it isn't. You can skip a few dozen "romance" pages here and there and then it's really worth your while.
- user837387 10y agoCan you please mention from which author since I imagine there are more than one?
- hbosch 10y agoSteve Jobs by Walter Isaacson is generally considered the definitive biography. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Jobs_(book) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Jobs_(book)
- tlow 10y agoDefinitely not true. As a concrete example disproving your fallacious post, I refer to Mr. John Gruber who called Becoming Steve Jobs "the book about Steve Jobs that the world deserves". Johny Ives says of Isaacson's book, "My regard couldn’t be any lower."
- statictype 10y agoSo People involved with and around Apple didn't enjoy a book that was critical of Jobs? I too liked Becoming Steve Jobs too, but I didn't think Isacsons book was as terrible as many people made it out to be.
- freehunter 10y agoNo, it's 100% true. It's the book Steve Jobs had written as his official biography, so it's de facto the official biography. It doesn't matter if there is a better book, and your aggressive tone is not helping your argument.
- SeanLuke 10y ago"official" and "definitive" are not synonyms.
- truth_sentinell 10y agoIn this case they're, because he ain't reviewing and approving another biography.
- d0m 10y agoYou might want to read Pixar and Beyond, which seems to portrait a much more realistic view.
- jkchu 10y agoConsider reading relevant parts of 'Creativity, Inc.' by Ed Catmull if you want another side of the Jobs & Pixar events.
