ubuntu!?

It usually takes them several months after the product is released to come out with developer edition versions.

Not this time with the Kaby Lake XPS 13 — they were available immediately. I think it helped that the hardware is exactly the same, since all versions have a Killer (Qualcomm) wifi card rather than "Dell" (= Broadcom) for Windows and Intel for Ubuntu.

Does "available with Windows 10" mean you have a choice? I don't follow Dell close enough to know the wording for Ubuntu products.

In the past they have referred to the Ubuntu pre-installed models as 'Developer Edition'.

This is something I'd really like to know too. About a month ago I contacted Dell's chat session thing to ask about Linux support on the XPS13 ...the Dell representative gave a hand wavey reply and terminated the session. I got the impression he'd not heard of either Sputnik or the Developer Edition.

Try again, or just google XPS13 developer edition.
