Why would anyone mail Jobs about this instead of someone on the Safari development team?
- emmett 17y agoBecause Jobs is free to respond, whereas someone on the Safari development team would face serious consequences for doing so.
- tvon 17y agoWell, you wouldn't mail the Safari team, you'd just follow WebKit development (which has a lot of contributors from a lot of different companies): http://webkit.org/ http://webkit.org/
- statictype 17y agoJob's response of 'Soon' doesn't sound any better than the vaguest response a developer could have given. At least a developer might have told you what's next on the roadmap.
- bradleyland 17y agoBecause emailing SJ is the "hot new thing". When you receive a reply, you're obligated to post about it on the internet, including full mail headers as "proof".
