Yes, and what does that have to do with this article? Excellent question, glad you asked! Just what do you think all the people who are asking why Fortran is still in use are using? My money is on the bet that they're not using Fortran. I've worked in the finite element analysis / high performance computing fields for quite a few years and I've never heard anyone who used Fortran complain that they were, or had to use it. Could it be that it's because people like that they get high performance from a language out of the box?
