It is not about absolving them, but recognising that people are retarded assholes and there will be human error as long as we have human drivers. So if we want to make driving safer, we must change the traffic environment.
- revelation 10y agoSo? We can still ramp up enforcement. No, another "awareness" campaign doesn't work, banning people from driving does.
- fnordsensei 10y agoIt's a matter of practicality. They came to the conclusion that enforcement would not actually accomplish the goal they had in mind, regardless of the right or wrong of it.
