- jstewartmobile 10y agoMeetups, chamber of commerce, rotary/kiwanis, swingers club, church, nerd convention, or whatever happens to float your boat. You've got to press the flesh.

My wife and I have been doing freelance web design for about a year now and we've been completely shocked at how quickly some people will hire you while only knowing that you are 1) a generally respectable person and 2) a web designer. Our number of clients seems to correlate directly with how many people we meet rather than any particular strategy.
