- stryk 10y agoI'd go so far as to say, these days, to just NEVER assume privacy. With ANY tech. Ever. Doesn't matter where it's manufactured, nor where it's sold. Everything is data mined, one way or another. The "cloud" (really "someone else's machine") opposes privacy by definition. If the leak isn't in the hardware, it's in the software, and if not there it's in the pipe. There's no feasible way to control every point along the line.
