I know it's probably a custom order, but don't they have a cast which is more similar to the end product that they can use, saving them time by skipping a few steps?

- reneherse 10y agoAs I understand it, forged metal is stronger than cast metal, because the forging process aligns the crystallized structure of the metal into a "grain" that is parallel to the geometry of the final part.
