I think your comment is downvoted mostly for wasting precious comment space: You didn't say anything. People don't come to HN only to have to wade through layers of nothing, this isn't reddit or some major newspaper comment section. If you have to say something, then actually say it and be done with it.

That was a little excessive wasn't it? I didn't consider that comment to be "nothing" at all; s/he mentioned Scientologists have solid business pillars, I asked for examples, s/he elaborated and provided them. Not sure what your screening criteria is for how much a comment is 'worth' but maybe it needs some calibration.
