- codazoda 10y agoCame here looking for this comment... "I approached my management when the situation escalated, who directed me to HR. Instead of helping me, HR embarked on a defensive and confrontational script. I felt cornered, unsafe and unsure of what to do next." It's HR's job to mitigate the risk to the company. They are not your friend, they are there to save the company from harm.
- jdmichal 10y agoYes. It is also perfectly reasonable for them to offer something, and then send out minutes that detail you rejecting it. This is simple legal CYA; it's not an attempt to be hostile.
- JKCalhoun 10y agoYep, HR are not your friend. They are there to smooth things over so that the company can continue to function, not to be your defender.
- Ensorceled 10y agoThis is a major point of the article: that this shouldn't be the case. You can disagree but just pointing out that this not the current situation is either missing the point of the article or begging the question.
