Yes, that excuse occurred to me too. Obviously not the real reason for the rule, but arguably a plausible enough excuse.

- stcredzero 16y agoMore than just an excuse. Software has been an integral part of heat management in devices for over a decade. Also, the li-ion battery and the flash RAM could be physically damaged by incorrectly functioning software.
