You are confusing AV1 with VC1. Re-read the post you're replying to.
- mtgx 10y agoI think the guy I replied to confused the codecs first. AV1 is the codec being developed by AOMedia, not VC-1. VC-1 doesn't fit into the story here, so I don't know where that came from.
- niftich 10y agoVC-1 comes from the earliest ancestor post, which first confused the two.
