A lot of people here seem to be complaining about them falling out of their ears, while non of them actually tried to wear them first. Also everyone is stating things like this "I will use them two or three times during rush hours in London, bump into a couple people". But for me personally - I only use headphones while at my desk and I love current EarPods because unlike many other in-ear headphones they do not create any pressure onto my eardrum, I can wear them all day without any fatigue whatsoever, having a wireless version so I can stand up and walk around often sounds perfect to me. Also the only time when current EarPods are falling out of my ears is when the cable gets pulled or tangled on something, without a cable I don't see how they can fall out easily.
- pjc50 10y agoI guess this depends on your ears; I've never had a pair of in-ear phones that don't fall out after 5 minutes.
- jdc0589 10y agothis is a ridiculous suggestion price wise, but check out custom IEMs. They are expensive as hell, but I have no issue spending money on something I use for HOURS every single day. Sound quality is often much much better too.
- mslev 10y agoShure SE215s. Not all that expensive, but for the price they're an amazing IEM. You can also get a cable that has a mic/remote in it.
- Tarq0n 10y agoThose are regular IEMs. By custom parent comment means ones with a casing made specifically to fit inside your ear. Random example: http://vaiopocket.up.seesaa.net/image/sleek5.jpg http://vaiopocket.up.seesaa.net/image/sleek5.jpg, these can cost 3-4x more than a regular pair.
- cocktailpeanuts 10y agoHave you ever had an earplug that fell out after 5 minutes? The main reason earphones fall out of your ears is the wires. Most existing wireless earphones have some sort of wire attached to them. They're called "wireless" but that's technically not true because they do have wires, and these wires are what pulls the earphones out of your ear. It's physics.
- michaelmior 10y agoSignificant head movement without any wire pulling can also cause problems. I could easily see these falling out when I'm running.
- nlh 10y agoI have the exact same problem. Check out 'earhoox' -- they solve the problem perfectly. (They're silicone EarPod covers with little hooks that keep them perfectly placed in your ears.)
- rplst8 10y agoIf you have a set of headphones that put pressure on your eardrum, you either have them turned up way to loud, or some other really big problem that you should see a doctor for. No headphone should put pressure on your eardrum other than the sound it makes.
- owenwil 10y agoI've worn them and tried them out for a couple of hours. If you move around -- run/vigorous walk/jump -- they just slip out. Gone.
