I've stayed in many hotels over the years at all different price points and in general there has been an almost perfect correlation between price and the quality of cleaning/rooms/service.
- x0x0 10y agoWe lived in hotels for 6 weeks a couple years ago doing a cross country trip. My experience is the difference between a $25/night motel and a $90/night hotel isn't (much) the accommodations but rather the class of your neighbors for the night. Screaming fights / loud parties / yelling down the hall at 3 am occurred on the low end, not the high.
