Poll: Should people asking for advice from News.YC be obliged to share some relevant details?

- rms 19y ago+1 for both of the no's though in nsx2's case, I think sharing his idea would have helped
- tjr 19y agoBeing a public web forum, we really can't REQUIRE anyone to provide anything here, though if advice requesters are inordinately vague, we are free to not reply...
- joshwa 19y agoThat's why I used "obliged"... I meant in terms of what we should reasonably expect from advice-seekers.
- pohart 19y agoNo. This site is about discussion, and the questions are appreciated for the discussions that ensue, not because they are so helpful to the askers
- dkokelley 19y agoWhile nobody owes us anything when they seek advice, the quality of advice they receive I feel is related directly to the amount of information they provide.
