  My friends and I used to drink cold beer while the kernel recompiled in the background. Happy times. Almost 10 years ago! (Kingfisher (Indian beer))

    I can see it now: "Dude! New kernel is out!", "I'll get the beer... Psssh, crack, glug glug glug" Never before were nerds that excited about recompiling the kernel.
