Industry: Any tech company that hosts sensitive/regulated data.
The problem: privlidged access management and auditing.
The solution: Cyberark, but not $250k to cover 1,000 servers. Ain't nobody got money for that.
- bduerst 10y agoI feel like this is a common/old enough problem there should be some open sourced solutions for it already.
- jdc0589 10y agoIn linux land, there is Teleport, which is relatively new. There are probably some other options, but I liked the POC I did with teleport, it just needs to mature a hair. In windows land.....I've got nothing, hence the problem. - https://gravitational.com/teleport/ https://gravitational.com/teleport/
- meowface 10y agoThe problem is big enterprises need support agreements and the other typical enterprisation features. An open source project alone will never fit most enterprise's appetites, especially for something as important as security/auditing/compliance. You at least need a company behind the open source project willing to provide enterprise setup and support.
