- legitster 10y agoExperimenting with creating a very rudimentary internal API to handle some unique lead processing. Also, web personalization, but we are not very happy with the product we are using and are trying to work out some kinks.
- maxerickson 10y agoDo you foresee identifying people who hate targeted advertising and pulling back the amount of messaging they get? It actually seems to be the case already, but I dream of the day where the facial recognition system in the store turns on a little red light on the cash register, notifying the cashier that I'm going to respond negatively.
- legitster 10y agoWe kind of do that already. We identify user groups that have low response rates and cull them automatically, or put them on a lower frequency program. Good, quality leads are expensive and you don't want to completely burn them out. We also have built-in stopgaps that limit the amount of emails people get. Nobody gets more than x per unit of time, the ratio of which we are always trying to push down.
- teddyc 10y agoI used Mindfire (http://www.mindfireinc.com/ http://www.mindfireinc.com/) when I did this.
- daverosendahl 10y ago(Disclosure: I'm MindFire's co-founder -- http://www.mindfireinc.com http://www.mindfireinc.com) I'm curious as to what you did with MindFire, and what marketing objective(s) you were trying to solve? As strange as it sounds (given that we are often considered a marketing automation company), I tend to agree with the notion that the space is getting out of hand, but for slightly different reasons than the original post. What I see is that there are many (many!) different problems marketers are solving for. All vendors claim they do everything (which as we know, is simply not true). For a marketer seeking a specific solution, it is becoming increasingly difficult to identify the right solution. In a similar fashion, as a provider of this kind of technology, it is increasingly difficult to communicate with the market given that there are so many similar messages. Interested in everyone's perspective.
