- icantdrive55 10y agoI wonder if clothing will ever change? I've tried the new high tech fabrics, and they are always the last things I put on. I guess if I lived in a very cold climate; I would appreciate the newer fabrics. Actually, on the Rogue river one spring, I did appreciate polypropylene. For years, I couldn't understand why on Mars would any guy spend $400 on Nike sneakers. My filthy rich neighbor, whom went through a mid life crisis, bought 25 pairs of Nike Tennis shoes. This guy never exercised. On garbage day, he threw out the tennis shoes. They were two sizes two big for myself, but I took them anyways. They were practically brand new. One night before a run, I put on a pair of basketball shoes. I was shocked at how comfortable they were. Would I ever spend over a $100 bucks on shoes--no, but I kinda get the guys who buy these shoes now. The one item of fashion I have never understood was the tie. I thank guys like Zuckerberg for changing fashion.
